Live Love Laugh Learn
When your child joins us, they will experience all of this, it’s what life is all about at Jack-In-The-Box. It doesn’t matter if you are part of our nursery or joining us after a hard day’s work from school, you will always receive a smile and warm welcome from the grown-ups. We really do understand that play is important for all children, no matter what stage of development – after all, as grown-ups, we like to play too.
Jack-In-The-Box is small, friendly and rurally located, just a short five minute drive from the centre of Ledbury. We are tucked away in the village of Bosbury and our nurseries and out of school club cater for children from birth to 11 years old; this means that we are able to look after your little people from the moment they begin nursery, right up until they leave primary school…reassuring for you and lucky for us, as we get to see them growing up too.

With our youngest team member at just 19 years old and our eldest (dare I say it) in her sixties, it would be fair to say that our team is broad and experienced. Our success has put us in a unique position where we can enable our children to benefit from the expertise of an Early Years Professional, qualified Early Years Teachers, Forest School Leaders, a Lamda Drama Teacher and Early Years Educators who get to spend the whole day teaching your children (lucky them). Our Cook prepares delicious home cooked meals and snacks, and our Registrar deals with the day to day queries meaning that the team can focus on what they do best; being with your children. And if that isn’t enough, our super team all take part in Continual Professional Development and each member of staff holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Life is complicated enough! We understand that busy parents face a juggling act every day of the week. After all, JITBX was founded because Jackie, who owns JITBX, was and still is a very busy parent. This gives us a unique insight into what you need from us to make life just a little bit easier. With this is mind, our fees are fully inclusive; breakfast, mid morning snack, home cooked lunch, afternoon high tea and it goes without saying that nappies and wipes are included too. The only thing you need to remember is your child, we’ll handle the rest.
We are open from 8.00am until 5.30pm, for 46 weeks of the year. We choose to close at Christmas, Whitsun and 3 weeks in August so that we all get to stop, recharge and rest. Our staff’s health and mental well-being is really important too and this way we can ensure that we all have lots of energy for your children when we are open.
